I think the good thing about Playtonic is that they have lots of experience working on 3D platformers. Imagine how many ideas they've had in the past for world themes etc. that they couldn't carry out due to technology or time restraints. I trust they will come up with some beautiful worlds (especially looking at the screenshots they've released).

I always liked Hailfire Peaks. With the Fire side and the ice side. I also liked it when nintendo did a similar thing in Mario Galaxy. I am a person who likes contrasts and fire and ice gimmicks!

Gobi's Valley just captivated me back as a kid. Same with Hailfire Peaks. I hope the game can have a Desert Level with homage to Gobi's valley.

Another ancient world would also be awesome, like ancient greek/rome world with references to the gods and the mythology or a snow world with vikings.
or
A circus themed world, because I allways wanted a circus themed world in bk ... because no developers could make it better than rare. The only good circus world is in timesplitters 2 (free radical design ex-rare developers  ) which is a fps and its sadly only a multiplayer map. I remember glover had a circus themed zone with a couple of circus themed levels but its kinda like only a texture theming, the levels had not their uniqueness because they was allways made with the same platforms blocks and textures. Rare allways make their worlds from scratch and there not a couple of them with the same theme/textures/platforms etc. because each world is big, different and allways unique.

How about this world:

Could you imagine a world set in a cinema with popcorn and all that stuff and with three cinema halls and each hall has got his own theme but all are kinda like low budget b-movie horror films. The main characters must watch to the screen with 3-d glasses to get warped in to the running trash movie (similar to witchyworld with the three different themes inside the park or click clock wood where you have 4 different entraces to all the seasons). The first cinema hall could have a movie which is set on a farm surrounded by trailerparks and swamps and of course with cow abducting aliens and the second cinema hall could have a movie set in a shopping mall with zombies. The third and last cinema hall could have a movie set in the 1950s with an area where you must climb up an giant art deco styled skyscraper with an angry primate at the top(boss fight). All these movies are references to old trash/b-movies.

I would love to see a D&D style fantasy world, in which the characters have to survive the RP session of a sadistic and egotistical Dungeon Master. Within the level would be a giant castle, dragon's lair, spider cave, as well as a dungeon prison you may need to utilize stealth to escape from (if our hero does end up being a chameleon, it would be a great way to introduce an invisibility move).
A fourth wall breakage level in which the characters are miniature sized and visit the Playtonic Games office work space would be cool too. It could be a great place to have some of the team members, as well as POOP, make an appearance.

Water, Lava, Ice, Desert, Mountain, Rocks, Carnival.

i'd like to see crazy imaginary mash up worlds! like a

haunted snowy holloween christmas woods with a village in the middle! & mishmash of the two holidays & all the tropes that come with them!

a carnival/zoo/theme park on top of a space ship!

a big river with a broken damn & a floaded city! & the main part of the city is a huge underwater puzzle pice factory!

a beautiful beach/desert!

home of the tooth fairy! everything is made of bones & her castle is made of TEETH!

aboard traveling pirate ships with changing wether! & stormy seas that shake the ships

one of those weird paintings where you walk on walls & stuff!

a abandoned giant spiral shaped mountain!

in a doll house in a giant kids bedroom where you can see clouds & a beanstalk out her giant bedroom window. the doll house is on a tablet next to her window & over looks the rest of her room!

Witchy World was one of my all-time favourite levels, so I'll throw in a vote for a 'spooky' carnival/fairground theme!

A coral reef or abandoned city would be neat to see, I think.

The outside of a moving airplane would be thrilling as well hah.
