Save Files - How many?

Postby Exaskryz » Thu Mar 19, 2015 3:38 am

How many save files do you guys think is an appropriate number? I would like to see 4 or 5.

I'd like to keep my first ever 100%'d file, and have another for deleting and replaying over. I'd like at least two more for other people to play and keep. A fifth just for anyone to delete and pick up would be welcome as well.
Woaaaah, it finally came out! :o

3 sounds about right. That's usually the magic number when it comes to save files.

Three, and it should have an interesting menu like Kazooie had. I loved how dynamic it was -- even more dynamic than Tooie.

Honestly I never understood this whole save-file stuff. In Civilization 5 you could have as much save files as you want. Banjo Kazooie 3. GTA V about 15. I mean what's the point? Do people use savefiles like savestates?

Someone really needs to explain to me why so much save files matter.

3 saves were because of memory limitations of the N64.

The unlimited save system is much better. You can make as many saves as you want and you can go back to any part of the game you saved at.

If you can have unlimited*, you should go with unlimited*!

*it is not really unlimited, check your HDDs max capacity for more details

I just want a fancy load-up screen with hidden animations like in Kazooie. You can't really have that with infinite save files (I don't know why someone needs infinite save files anyway).

Talking of hidden animations, I liked when Jamjars in Tooie banged his head on the way back down etc. -- I hope Chris puts in lots of little things like this. There should be some super obscure ones that hardly happen at all just so people go mad trying to recreate them.

Three, and a load-up screen with hidden animations in it like in Banjo-Kazooie.

I loved the main menues in Banjo-Kazooie, Tooie and in Conkers Bad Fur Day, they should do that with Project Ukulele again. Also even the GBA titles Sabre Wulf and Mr. Pants had very funny main menues and the most rare games had secret gimmicks in the main menue.

It has to be three surely :P I also hope they can make the save file screen engaging, not just simple and informative! I want things to move around!

A poll would probably settle this.
