So I reckon a question for registration is: do you like blood diamonds? There are two radio buttons with No on it, but there is a hidden radio button that can only be seen by highlighting it. By pressing it they answer 'yes'. Prettynifty trick I reckon

A simple script could bypass that one as the answer does not change.

Its annoying that THIS is what's being discussed on the forums and THIS Is what the team are having to concentrate on.

Nah, I'm sure the team will be fine, nothing to worry about.

just a captcha that holds a different answer each time will suffice.

Except there are scripts that automatically pass captchas. So using a captcha as one form of defense in a string of many (answer the captcha, verify email, require a UNIQUE email address per account, limit amount of posts that new accounts can make) is necessary.

this kid is not able to bypass randomized Captchas with his little butnet, he doesn't not have the skills and money to do that.

This kind of captcha is more then enough :)

So, apparently being away from the forums brought in some interesting... issues, I see. I honestly only became aware of issues when the Twitter account went dark, due to bot activity attacking their Twitter accounts. Based off the recent tweet, it's still ongoing.

Sorry to hear you guys are dealing with this. Hopefully these issues will quiet down, eventually.

Jeez, a lot can happen when you take a week long break from lurking Playtonic's Twitter. :?

They promised to have a lot of surprises "this week/coming week" apart from the idle animation it has been quiet as of yet. I sure hope they will set a new spark. Forum could use something to chew on ^^

Wow, I get drunk and pass out in an alley for a few days and suddenly everything goes crazy and I miss all the fun.

It always amuses me that the people who do these things think they're some kind of cool badass. Because sitting in a sweaty basement somewhere scratching your crotch while occasionally snort-laughing to yourself in between greasy bites and devoting your free time to spamming a forum is soooo cool. God, I wish I could be your friend, just like all those other kids who never talked to you in school.

Good luck getting all your spam-prevention methods going. I have been there, and I know what a pain it is.
