I'm fairly certain the days of spamming the A button in games is over. I could be wrong, but I haven't seen something like that in a long time. If we're going to race, just let us have full control of our character and let the course we're on and speed set the difficulty for us.

As for Amiibo support, I feel like it should be limited strictly to perks, like a character/costume swap. Something that wouldn't be necessary to completing the game, nor to getting all the secrets in the game. I don't want to have to collect 7 amiibo just to unlock Pause n' Grab... or whatever the next iteration of Stop n' Swop is.

Yeah, generic levels is a big no. I also don't want to see all bright and happy levels, or inviting levels. Things like Grunty Industries, or Clanker's Cavern, or Creepy Castle, or Frantic Factory were great; there was a good mix of moods in all the previous games. Lots of different moods with lots of different difficulties please! I want some levels that'll make my younger siblings scared like those levels did to me :D

I don't want power ups of the characters to be due to the addition of weapons! I realize what I found so charming about the Banjo Kazooie series was that every upgrade was a part of something they could already naturally do, but had to be taught how to do! I loved learning how to shoot eggs at my enemies! But I think I would have liked it far less if they would have strapped an egg canon onto her.
Also I always knew I'd one day unlock the ability to fly with Kazooie, and that made me want to keep playing to get to that point!

Cars! This should be a classic jump and run. no damn cars. the world should be as cool as the first banjo kazooie game. Snow, Beach, Desert, Halloween levels etc.

Using Banjo-Kazooie as a point of reference, that game is pretty much flawless but the only criticism I have looking back is the hub of Grunty's castle having a too confusing layout.

Running around the hub for 30 minutes trying to find the next level wouldn't be something I want to look forward to in a platformer like this.

Fixed/on-rails auto-cameras. #1 thing killing the genre. If I could ask for just one thing of this game it's that we be given proper camera control.

Hand-holding. Being told where to go and what to do like most modern open-world games takes all the fun and discovery out of it.

And linear level design, of course. I'd like to think that goes without saying.

i don't want Handholding , regenhealth , Waypoints/QuestMarks , ButtonPromting on screen , dumbed down gameplay , easy games , , cinematic , autosave , checkpoints every f* seconds , qte (QuickTimeEvent) , sign of the objective on screen

Give us a challenging game , without handholding us and so we will have a great experience (because the experience we will have is more like a Do it by yourself Experience)
can't wait for Yooka Laylee (PS4) :geek: :D

I've played Donkey Kong 64 and honestly, I just don't want as many collectibles like from DK64. That game was quite tedious, fun but rather tedious. Its the reason I stuck to Banjo Kazooie most of the time when I had the choice of playing either game.

I would like as little backtracking as possible.
I don't want the equivalent of notes to come in bundles and scattered. They should be evenly distributed throughout levels.
I don't want to see any CBFD level of adult content. I liked the subtlety of BK's humor better.
