As of writing, tomorrow marks the two week countdown until we can all play Yooka-Laylee!

I wanted to do a countdown thread -- just a general, evolving discussion about the game -- but to ensure there is always a running topic, I will post the Character Of The Day in here for anybody that would like to chat about it. For those that don't know, Playtonic have been revealing a character model on Twitter each weekday for a while (you can find them amongst their media archive ).

You are free to discuss all things Yooka-Laylee here, characters or otherwise, and build up excitement for the next two weeks!

I've got to say that 2 years is much more on the realistic side of things. I was really surprised when they claimed at first that they would only need like, 1,5 years to get it done.

I'm intrigued about the role Ghost Writers may play, and amused by the pun considering how the whole game works.

I remember when I finished Banjo Kazooie as a kid (something that took ages back then) I saw the secret photo's and that same world opened to
Me yet again in a complete different light. I missed something and I had to figure it out.

I literary saw secrets everywhere (not really, but I believed so) I can tell the exact spots where I believed to be secrets (especially the road to Mad monster mansion, Gobi's lava world)

Terraria has about 300 hours clocked on my Steam account, probably the same amount of time I spent in Wozza's cave, sharkfood island and the desert tomb. It kept me obsessed for months.

I dream the music and environments from the game to this day.


Banjo Tooie was different, the secrets were kind of gone... I grew up a bit but was left down in that regard. THEN I SAW A PICTURE OF A DEVIL BOTTLES I started hunting for months... nothing...

Until I figured it all out when I got older due the years.

That will not keep me from entering this magical new world Yooka Laylee will offer me from the old days once more. I wonder if I will find something back in myself from back then.

I still remember the first time I saw those eyes in the bushes... I've never been more exited in my life.

I also remember the launch of the forums. I signed up and wrote "Yooka-Laylee HYPE " in my signature because of my excitement.
