64-bit bonus throwback world?

Has this not been suggested yet? The characters would also turn low polygonal. That would be epic.

I'm not sure about a whole world, but what about a small zone, or maybe a building you go in and everything is old-graphics? Like in Paper Mario, there's a pot in Boo's Mansion you can jump in that will turn you 8-bit and play the Star Theme while you're transformed.

I think I would rather just have an in-universe transformation that changes you into an N64 style character model. Doing so could grant you temporary invulnerability or something.

I would love to see something like that.

I'm not saying a throwback world wouldn't be cool, I just really love transformation powerup gameplay mechanics and I think transforming into an 64-bit model (much like how Paper Mario had Mario transform into an 8-bit sprite) would be a really funny and really fun powerup.

I think it would be really cool as part of a level, like in banjo tooie where there's a small portion of a few different levels done as an FPS without overly committing to that genre.

The N64 was my childhood, but I am in no way nostalgic for low-poly graphics. I find that odd.

I find the nostalgia thing odd but I'm definitely feeling it. Why do low polygon models and very digital songs please me so much while I certainly wouldn't want to play anything with low FPS. I don't necessarily think it has to be low polygons just reminiscent of it. Think about the Xbox live versions those are high definition but still feel extremely classic.

It could also be like how Donkey Kong 64 had two arcade machines as part of the story.

They can't make a 64 bit world! Most computers today are running Windows 7 32-bit!
But yeah, a Nintendo 64 throwback would only be fitting.

A cool way to do that would be to have Yooka and Laylee get there in a time machine.

What does the "N64 Shader" mean exactly? At the press of a button and/or menu choice, you can change it to look like N64 graphics?
