I'm just going to write this for the fun of it.
If you look at the some of the series of amiibo, they can be really small.
Mario Party 10 got 8 amiibo, 3 of which are different versions of Mario.
Splatoon got 3 amiibo, all different Inklings.
Yoshi's Woolly World is getting 3 Yoshis made of yarn.
The new Chibi-Robo game announced today, is getting an amiibo.
So, by the time Yooka-Laykee rolls around, I'm sure Nintendo would be open to third-party partnerships with amiibo.
Especially a game that will be successful like Yooka-Laylee.
It could even be as small as just one amiibo, for Yooka & Laylee.
The one big issue, is the fact it won't have a retail release.
It's good that Playtonic is focusing on the development, but if someone approaches them about a retail release on the Wii U, PS4 and Xbox One, they should go for it.
