Well...

Postby John Enigma » Mon Jun 08, 2015 6:18 pm

I finally got the answer I always wanted Playtonic Games has no plans on making this game a handheld game. Jens told me trough KS. Oh well. A man or a woman can dream, can he/she?

Which brings to make this poll. Which console, (or for the PC's, which OS) would be suitable for you guys to play Yooka-Laylee?

I never expected to say this... But Windows it is!

Multitasking and sharing every interesting detail on this forum while playing.

p.s. I'm even saving up for a new gaming laptop for this!

PC or Wii U. I voted PC as that's the main "original" platform, so I presume it might be the best. Either way I'm getting both versions.

I really hope there's not such a big difference in the versions, since I want the Wii U one. The PC one will be the best, of course, but the Wii U one wouldn't really need to look much worse, since it's a cartoony game.

I chose Windows, and at a good timing as well!

Phil Spencer said that his giving us the free opportunity to upgrade from Windows XP/Vista/7/8 to Windows 10, again for free.

Mr. Spencer said that supposedly this new Windows will be gamer-friendly. Let's hope that's true.

Windows 10 free upgrade release date: July 29th.

It will be Wii U for me! My PC isn't suited for gaming and I'm not really interested in buying an Xbox One or a PS4 right now.

Voting for Linux, I want to use the maximum of my computers performance without
MicroShit bloating my computer with bloatware and crap.

It's PC for me. I used to be diehard Nintendo in my younger days, but as a frugal adult I'm completely converted to PC. A great gaming PC build will generally run you more than the cost of a console, but you really make up those savings on the cost of games and the performance you get. It's analogous to buying an expensive, high end printer but the ink is super cheap. Consoles, to me, are like reasonably priced, pretty good printers but with pricey ink. Plus, the sheer customizability you can achieve on a PC is astounding. With the advent of the "Steam Box" your PC can perform all functions of a console AND more. I prefer having one device that can do everything over several devices for different things. I admire efficiency.

However, I do miss out on exclusives. All this Splatoon stuff is killing me! I want to play it so bad!

One of these days I'll give Linux a try, but my set up is Windows as of now.

I will play it and beat it on Wii U first, but I may buy it on PC too later, just, you know, for fun.

I'm going to be playing it on either Wii U or PS4. I haven't decided yet, but,if I do get it for Wii U, I'm going to be using that comfortable Pro Controller. Poor thing doesn't get enough love. Leaning more towards PS4, tbh. Unfortunately, my toaster of a PC can't handle the awesomeness of Y-L. Maybe one day.

I like the idea of it on Windows, but I say PS4 just because I use my computer for work, that and it's not very high end, so my PS4 would be a more stable and comfortable gaming choice for me. I usually game and work on my computer at the same time, so it just works better for me. Really I love knowing that it's going to be on all the consoles, I personally want to be able to play it with proper controller though :P

One thing's for sure, is that I hope that when it hits for PC's, I hope Playtonic Games releases it for GOG's Galaxy. I don't like Steam that much. Too much sh** going on.

Wii U. I would say Windows PC, but my PC tends to soil itself at random.

I remember I bought a secondhand Xbox 360 a few years ago, with a view to having a single platform spanning the longest period of Rarewares to play (from the Arcade BK to Nuts & Bolts — I'm not interested in Kinect things). Too bad Playtonic will not release YL on this platform, since the Xbox One does not have backward compatibility... Therefore probably PC or Wii U.
