You're missing the forest for the trees. Don't discount the possibility of Zelda being delayed to the NX. It's far from impossible. I would say a release on either console is close to equally likely at this point.

dotexe, and others, why are you not playing Splatoon? That game has given me so many hours, possibly more than Sm4sh and MK8 have done for me, with the Wii U. I can understand if you don't have broadband access, and I totally understand that you'd want games not dependent on servers. (It's sad for me to think that in a few more years, no one can play Splatoon with each other any longer because the servers will be taken down.)

Like, I get that people want those sequels of the familiar franchises and remakes of old games. That's cool. But stepping out and picking up a new IP, or hell, touching a third party game - why is that such a forbidden act?

I don't have as much time to play the Wii U as I'd like having been in college for it's entire lifetime. I can agree that the software line up for the Wii U has not been as great as the GameCube's, but there are definitely games out there on the Wii U to play. You don't need a quantity of titles, but a quality. Games that get you playing for over 100 hours instead of turning on for 5 hours and beating the game, until you buy the next hour of DLC which holds half the story - wasn't that the case with Mass Effect 3? - those are quality games.

Even if the GameCube had one single game, I'd have managed to spend over 1000 hours playing it. Super Smash Bros. Melee, even without online play, had been played for over 600 hours on a single memory card. Of which we had several and some got corrupted, so for sure I managed to play that game for over 1000 hours.

Is Yooka-Laylee going to give me even 50 hours of gameplay? Not in the first month, nah. Maybe 15 hours. But I'll come back to it several times over, hopefully. Just as I eventually did with Banjo-Kazooie.
Woaaaah, it finally came out! :o

I actually really want to play Splatoon, but I'm so busy that $60 for a game I'm not going to have time to get the full experience from is a hard sell. I would want to dedicate quite a bit of time to the online aspect and I'm not sure I really could. Granted, two minute rounds make that a lot more possible.

Splatoon Doesn't appeal to me at all as a game and it doesn't help that it's an online mp game.

Chainmail kid are you a Nintendo employee? Why are you getting pissed off that some people have a different opinion/prediction to yourself?

(Taylor can move this post with the rest of them)

I rang 5 local(ish) supermarkets today to try and get hold of a copy of Yoshis Wooly World and 4 out of 5 of them didn't stock wiiu games and the one that did said they had a very small limited amount of Wii u games, Yoshi wasn't one of them. So i had to buy it online meaning I wouldn't get to play it today. Nintendo aren't making an effort at all with this console and I don't think they expect to sell many more consoles. I really wish it did better at launch, it deserved it. But as a certain piece of stool once said "gamers these days just want to shoot things"

Woolly World also doesn't come out in the US until October which is absolutely baffling to me.

But the European version is in English as well and is already out. I really don't get it.

They told me i couldn't play games because of my claws. Q,Q

Glad to hear you Americans have great choices of places to buy Wii u stuff, over here in the UK it almost doesn't exist. ALL supermarkets have stopped stocking it because it sold poorly at launch, GAME has gone bankrupt and no longer exists, HMV has also gone bankrupt and disappeared and theres not a toysrus for miles and miles so yeah we don't have the choice you do. I had to pay extra for next day delivery so I'll have it today hopefully.
