Pledge survey

Postby MazLad » Wed Jul 15, 2015 11:45 pm

I just completed the pledge survey, selected my name for credits and the Steam final version. I was a little confused by the other question though, it just asked me to select a preferred colour from a list of 6 or so. Anyone know what this was all about?
"Shanley, do you think Donkey Kong Country revolutionised gaming?"
"Yeah mate, I think it probably did"

Probably some sort of colour coding so you can find your name in the credits.

The thing that confused me is when you put in your name for the special thanks credits, in bold it has Your Name (whatever you typed in). It got me confused as to whether my name would be where "Your Name" is or not.
Yooka-Laylee should be its own game with its own feeling. It shouldn't try to be like Banjo-Kazooie, it shouldn't try to be like Donkey Kong, it should be like Yooka-Laylee.

No, not all Xbox owners are dudebros who love grey-and-brown PvP FPSes. Please feel free to quit stereotyping now.

Got mine through today. I've put 'Scrubber' as my middle name (Banjo-Kazooie credits style) so forum crews may recognize me.
I went for blue and XboxOne

One thing i'm really not sure about is if I can use diacritics (accents) in my name. The survey says "Please use only ASCII characters", but it doesn't specify whether extended ASCII is okay or not. My first name has an acute accent in it (é), and I don't want to commit to a choice until I'm sure if it's okay to use it or not...

EDIT:

Mkay, I tried with the accent, and it seems to display fine everywhere. Fingers crossed :D

I was under the impression I was getting a steam version, digital console version, and physical version... a bit upset that I'll be having to just outright buy my console version on full release. The chart was fairly misleading I guess.

As far as I know, no tiers offered multiple digital copies. The only tiers with multiple copies were the ones that offered a physical PC copy and a digital copy of your choosing.

That aside, it does seem that Playtonic goofed a little by not offering PC digital versions to some of the tiers that should be eligible for them. Based on the reward tier graphic, everything from the Toybox tier up should be able to choose whether they want a PC or console version, and what service/console they want it for.
