Playtonic Games at Challenge TV (in UK, obviously)

Postby Rueckkoppler » Sat Aug 01, 2015 9:41 am

Hey guys,

the people of Playtonic are live at Challenge TV, a TV station owned by Sky. Is there a way to watch this now or afterwards? I'm afraid not, but I'd better ask than miss it

I noticed a render of what I think is pinned to the wall of the office. It's the second picture from the top and is alongside other character renders -- you can see it when Mark is being interviewed.

I also noticed a on a piece of concept art. The mouth was open and it looked like an entrace to a cave (maybe the hub world). Could this be the face of the main antagonist?

There was also a , which could be an early , with . It appeared to be a .

A new level model was being worked on. It was untexture, but looked like a large building/temple exterior with platforming elements leading to the top, and I think it had a few entrances leading inside the building. , ,

Sorry for the terrible picture quality.

Edit:

Edit 2: I've just realised all my image URLs have expired, but you can find everything on the YouTube video manually.

Wow, you did find quite some stuff, Taylor! I only immediately noticed that beautiful sunset on that ice level. This game will look so stunning and magical :)

Damn Taylor!

You sure dug up a gold mine of wip's of the game. I don't mind the pic quality, what matters to me the most is that progress is still being made.

When I saw the layout of one the levels on those pictures, it looked so big that it reminded me of Click Clock Woods from Banjo-Kazooie.

Anyone else get annoyed at the presenter pronouncing "NES" and "SNES" as "En-Ee-Ess" and "Ess-En-Ee-Ess" rather than just "nes" and "snes"?

And regardless of what they use, the end product we've seen so far has looked amazing. And Andy said the final version will be so much better as to make the prototypes unrecognizable. I'm excited :D
