So, the Toybox/Toybox++

Postby dotEXE » Fri Sep 18, 2015 8:56 pm

I recall hearing that they were originally hoping to put these out in Q4 of 2015. We've not heard any substantive news regarding the game for several months however. Any guess as to whether or not the Toyboxes are actually coming this year? I know the end of Q4 is technically December 31st and that's pretty far off, but news would be neat :D

Hi all.

The Toybox 'experiences' will come as planned, but we ask that you please remain patient as we're currently heads down, working on the game.

We want these to be the absolute best representation of the feel and movement of the final game. But as we're still nailing this down, there's still a little way to go yet!

They'll come in time and our backers will enjoy them - we'll ensure that. Promise.

A

That reply from Andy was a great move to calm us.

It really means a lot for us having some extra info even with small things like this.

Am I the only one who have complete faith in Playtonic? Yes, I'd like to see a bit more, yes, I can't wait to try the Toyboxes, but I also want Playtonic to take their time and make a good game. They are not only dealing with making a game, but also starting an entire company from zero. These are the first months of Playtonic and they have a lot to do. Give them some time.

Also, this "Paywall articles = DLC $$$$$$$" logic is absurd and makes absolutely no sense. Yes, it's a bit frustrating for backers and I would much prefer them to prioritise magazines/websites where you don't have to pay, but it doesn't mean that they will submerge us with pricey DLC... Where does that logic even comes from?
