Yes, i talk about funding. And funding is still something other than gifting.
And if things do not go according to the funding agreement it would be reasonable to let the funders know.
I don't want them to give me a 10 page 12px Times New Roman summary of what is going on.
Funding just doesn't allow them to run off into the night with the money doing random unrelated stuff.
At least I can be sure they are working on the game from the bits and pieces they occasionally make public.
But when they got enough time to advertise other games on twitter, they could surely drop a quick tweet like:
"Sorry, toybox is taking again even longer than epxected. But we're on it!".
Currently it's like they almost forgot about it.
I sure sound like angry ranting here, but that's not how it is. Imagine it in a sad waiting tone, full of expectations that are unknown if ever, or when met.
I mean I won't need the toybox the day they release the game, or just a week before.
