... To make my point here clearly and some other people on the forums.
This game is not released in any means, and we don't know all characters.

A Spin-off is clearly the wrong direction, even after the release of Yooka-Laylee (even if it is great).

Playtonic Games is founded on 10th February* 2015, and a Spin-off title, even if these guys know how the drill is, is Wwaaayy toooo early.

We first want to see original titles, to understand and loving the characters. Because that is a point of a spin-off title, to work in a certain genre, with your own Characters.

* I'm not sure with the foundation date, Espanol Wikipedia say that.

Hopefully if it is delayed it won't be too long. Though I wonder how big the environment will be or how much content it'll have, I've put 12 hours into a hat in time's alpha/beta, and a good chunk of that had been messing around in mafia town.

I think it's fairly safe to say we're not getting the Toybox in 2015 at this point. And that the game itself will probably be a 2017 release now. Which is fine, I've said many times I was fully expecting this game to be delayed. As is/was Rare tradition

This is the best thing about them being independent... NO deadlines. I don't mind a delay at all. Take as long as you want to perfect it.

Yooka-Laylee should be its own game with its own feeling. It shouldn't try to be like Banjo-Kazooie, it shouldn't try to be like Donkey Kong, it should be like Yooka-Laylee.

Oh maaan :( I wouldn't be so mad if there's some bugs here and there (it's just a little beta for the backers, after all), but being able to delay things when they need it is one of the biggest benefits for them as a independent company. And there's always somebody who'd want the Toybox to be fancy and free of bugs, which is also understandable, since some people payed extra money to get this very reward.

All in all, we've got nothing left but to wait... At least we can say that it's still coming quite some time before the full game releases. That'll shorten the wait eventually.

Goddang it! I really wanted Playtonic to give us the Toybox++ demo.

They promised that they were gonna give it to us by the end of the year. BY THE END OF THE YEAR!

I'm not impatient, but they promised all of us the demo by the end of the year.

Come on! We're still waiting.

I certainly don't mind waiting, I've already got a few demos from other games I backed that I need to get around to checking out a bit more one of these days and plenty of other games to get around to playing.

That said, I'm still looking forward to it when it arrives, I'm certainly a lot more hyped for this game than I am for a lot of the other games I backed ages ago that are still forthcoming.

Well the Toybox is still coming, when they want to take more time to polish it, thats totally fine! :)
Even when they delay the game itself, it would be okay.

The more work on YookaLaylee, the more fun we have with it. ;)

I'm all fine with Playtonic pushing things back for more time, but I'll only be okay with a certain amount of time they push back for. They had ETAs, so if they end up pushing them back a whole year or something I'm going to be quite concerned. I just hope it never gets like that.

I think the announced release dates were far too optimistic. Granted, I can't say much because we don't know how things are going, but don't set your heart on 2016 release. Keep your release timeline expectations low and you may be pleasantly surprised. Set them high, you're likely to be disappointed here.

Im glad they are crafting the Toybox to be a very tight experience and taking the time to do so, i'm just so ready to finally feel how the movement flows for the characters, i just can't tell by the videos, but i'm sure it will control even better than Banjo Kazooie.. Hopefully.

Here is hope for at least January release.
