Anyway awesome work so far.

And the changing of the distinct tracks like in BK, is just wonderful!

My guess with the song variations:

1.Jungle level what we have seen so far.
2.Standing in front of a book where you put pages to unlock the level.
3.Entering a cave or a NPC house.
4.Swimming underwater.

What are your predictions?

Oh the nostalgia... It sounds more BK than ever with the dynamic music.

Wouldn't the music in the book room be a jungle variation of the Hub theme?

2. Sounds slower and a bit grand/majestic. Perhaps some unknown indoor area / residence. Maybe a Temple (which we saw in very basic form with the Kicksterter area)

3. The third sound more lively/exciting from the first three notes with a more careful/airy feel following.
...like more of a platforming challenge location?

The last is underwater -- we can all agree!

Sounding good.

Though i still think David Wise's jungle theme would suit the world much better.

Well that world won't exist in the game, so that's neither here nor there. And I'm plenty sure we'll still hear that tune somewhere.

I like the new themes, glad that the channel shifting is working so well.

Also, I'm sort of suspicious that the Toybox MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY be coming out like next week at the end of this series of IGN reveals. I have absolutely 0 proof, but it seems fitting. I guess we'll see :D

Wow, the third variation is full of character! You can already imagine the interior of some weird npc's house while listening to this!

Love it! The music will build a fantasti , magical atmosphere. I could've sworn I was listening to genuine 'Banjo' tracks.

I presume they're mostly all Jungle variations, but that's just my impressiom from a single listen.

Question: wasn't it said that the Jungle world won't feature in the final game at all? I mean, I find that hard to believe considering music has been written. Maybe a new jungle will be designed; maybe the original jungle will end up in the Toybox? So many questions.

I opened it in a tab and tuned out because the buffering took quite a bit. It wasn't until the song ended that I realized I didn't have a let's play of DK64/Banjo open in the background.

I absolutely love it. It's literally perfect.

Is it just me, or are those the N64 samples, but in higher quality?

Rextro is associated with all the games' arcades, not just world 1. Plus the fact he's a Dinosaur references his dated look. Not sure we can infer Dino-world.

Anyways the Kickstarter area being scrapped could more simply be attributed to its status as a proof of concept, rather than a notion of the entire jungle theme being ditched.

Regardless "Jungle" doesn't tell us much when we know playtonic isn't out to give us generic worlds.
