News: Merry Christmas - Playtonic Update

And now let's comment about this.

Sadly Toybox will need some time.
But well we all know that they wouldn't release anything unpolished, so I can wait for this.

At least I know that the Toybox will release between January and March 2016. (They said the 1st quarter of 2016.)

With that said, Merry Christmas to the Playtonic Games crew, and to everybody in the forums.

Well, off to Winters.*

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays forum folks!

We knew this type of update was coming. Interesting to note that they mentioned they were going for a web-player which didn't work out, I think someone here mentioned that a while ago. I'm just glad we've gotten an update about it.

I'm sure they know we're not repeatedly bringing it up out of malice, but out of a mountain of excitement.

I really, really admire their commitment to polish though. There are too many games these days that come out very broken. As a programmer, I really do understand bugs will happen in software, but some of these games are well past "oops a bug got through".
Make the forum great again.

Deep inside I knew this was going to happen, but I just didn't want to believe it.
I think it's also save to say an Oct. 2016 release isn't going to happen.
This time I will just say it, to save myself from more dissapointment..

I understand why de Toybox (++) got delayed, but it should've been announced earlier...

Ah well, enough 'ranting'.

Happy Holidays and I wish you guys all the luck in the world, but please provide updates more often, because the lack of updates is also a reason of the forum dying (I think). :)

Good luck guys (wanted to get this of my chest).
Can't wait to play it!!

I personally appreciate that Playtonic was at least honest with us about Toybox++. Other companies would have turned a blind eye to the elephant in the room. I said it many times and I'll say it again: They can take as much time as they need to make a great game; I don't think any of us are really going anywhere.

Hope everyone have amazing and Happy Holydays!

We got our Christmas update so I'm pretty excited about the upcoming announcements for the next year!!

Let's welcome 2016 with a big smile knowing we are getting closer to play that amazing game in a (hopefully)near future!

Cheers!
