Being a big Fan of the old cheat system id love to see them bring a return of it in some way and expand the feature as well (I.E infinite items/ using special moves anywhere/ alternative yooka-laylee skins and models).
Do any of you think cheats would be a good feature to be brought back from the olden days?

I think entering cheats in-game via a board of letters should return. It's pretty iconic of the Banjo series.
I'd also like to see the return of difficult to find secrets, which could offer cheats as a reward, like Bottles' portrait challenge in Banjo's house.

Totally agree with all this! I loooooooved the deep BK Cheat system. I didn't use it as much to play around in BT surprisingly.

Considering that Banjo-Kazooie used a unique cheat system in where you needed to find every egg and a key, just to fully complete the game (even though Stop N' Swop was incomplete), it would be nice if Playtonic Games included that.

I loved the cheat system in Banjo-Tooie, I must say. Having a board with an overview of all the available, entered cheats and the possibility to switch them on and off easily was a very convenient way to handle cheats!
Therefore, please return as well! (Jeez, I could list pretty much every feature from Banjo-Tooie and say that I'd like to see it return)

Entering a long cheat via groun pound would not be a wise decision in this day, the method used in too i.e. Was way better and having the ability to turn cheats on and off that have already been entered would be nice.
Even have the cheat system open a part of the Hub World when you enter a specific code would actually be pretty cool.

I'm cool with this, although I won't use them.

I prefer the ground pounding in Kazooie over the shooting in Tooie. However, I do like being able to turn them on and off easily like in Tooie.

Yes, cheats need to be in the game, BK and DK64-style. It would really help the replay value.

yes! cheats should be in game!
and not like the xblas cheat system either that punishes you by not letting you save. disable achievements, let us save man!

It would be funny if in the event that you are cheating too much in the game, the main villain's face suddenly appears out of nowhere and threatens to delete your save file. Do it again after that, he/she actually follows through with it and deletes your save file. Saying something along the lines of; "This isn't the Russian Olympic Games, you cheater!"

personally, i want a cheat system like in banjo tooie. where you enter cheats in and they then go to a list for you to turn them on and off. YES it was funny the first time when a villain punishes you for cheating too much by deleting your save. but honestly, it stopped being funny and more annoying than anything. i actually like bts cheat system more. not only do cheats entered only take effect when you turn them on, but they stay on even after turning the game off. and while YES players can still be punished in yooka laylee for entering cheats... i think disabling achievements would be punishment enough. no need to go to extremes like erasing a save file or disabling the ability to save til you reset the game and not turn on any cheats.... just turn off achievements if you really wanna punish us. that way we can't brag about beating the game :p

I quite liked how cheats were something you could actually earn, although in that way they're less of cheats and more of just codes. And sometimes you didn't need to earn them if you didn't want to. Turn off achievements when using cheats, but have an achievement for using a cheat ("acheatment"?). Or better yet an achievement only available by putting in a specific heat. Okay, maybe not "better yet", but...
Anyway, the real reason I checked to see if there was a topic on this:
Obviously should be a cheat.

Looking at this, it reminds me of the time that I had the Tips and Tricks magazines.
