Yooka-Laylee for the Nintendo NX

I know this seems a bit early and everything (what with the rumors flying all over the Internet), but what are the chances of Playtonic Games making Yooka-Laylee for the Nintendo NX, in your honest opinions?

We don't know enough about it to know whether it'll even be able to run it. For all we know it could be a phone.

Answers cannot get more clear than "maybe".

1. Unity Technologies would need to receive development kits
2. NX support for Unity would need to be developed
3. Playtonic would need a development kit
4. Yooka Laylee would need to be running on the latest version of Unity (Last they said, they were using Unity 4 and the latest is Unity 5)*

Anything of this sort in the realm of technology is possible, but realisticly Playtonic cannot get this game running on a platform their base engine does not support. We do not know if Unity is currently developing for NX (Or if the NX is something that can yet be developed for), we do not know if Playtonic could receive a development kit, and we do not know which version of Unity they're running.

*Unity is built so that projects can start in older versions and move to newer versions with minimal damage. Even then, issues could arise. Would Playtonic be willing to spend time on ditching the old, proven to work for their needs iteration for the newest version that isn't even a year old?

@Lufkin Nice.

When they first showcased Yooka Laylee, Unity 5 wasn't a thing quite yet. Glad to know they made the jump.

An NX port may not be viable, though. Unless the Wii U version is inferior in some form, Nintendo users will have nothing to worry about.

To be clear -- the Wii U version will certainly be inferior, visually.
Lots of beautiful games for the system but it still has a mere fraction of the power of a PS4, or Xbone. It's only slightly ahead of last gen.

Depending on the details of the system, a Wii U port could likely be plausible or not...
