They love the word soon.
Hopefully they're talking "next week" soon and not "E3" soon.

Yeah, one could even say that Playtonic Games does what Nintendon't.

That's already more love than most kickstarter games give.

There have been a few anxious/worried responses to thier tweet. It's just the climate with the precedent set by other Kickstarter games ... the recent Nintendo news surely doesn't help, either. (Also some people are just more cyclical as a matter of personality)
Personally I haven't seen anything especially worrying. Even with the "small" bit of news last month -- hiring outside help shows commitment to a timely release. And comments from the dev team send out really good vibes. But I follow this game pretty closely ...

Amyways my bet is news this week.

Well I wouldn't call A Hat in Time a failure yet. That beta was awesome and clearly showed that they put love and ambition in this project. Given they "only" got 300.000, development might been slowed down since these guys can't quit their day jobs. Lobodestroyo, a project that seems stylistically even closer to classic Rareware, got an abysmal amount of money and barely made it to the goal. It's worse in that case, since the team can't quit their jobs with only 43k USD for development. It was founded in 2013 as well, but as I implied above, development is extremely slow. I hope that they make it, though.

That got a little off topic, huh? Guess that changes soon!

^^ Me too! I enjoy that.

Hadn't heard of Lobodestroyo. Looks "pretty good." All I could find was KS footage, and some animations from a year ago. I definitely like the spirit of what they're going for.

I think I sounded too down on Hat in Time. (Actually just slacker backed a few months ago.) Simply an example of something taking way longer than expected. (Per a recent Twitter question I asked, the game has had only one programmer until just recently.)
Very exciting and ambitious world themes like "Train Wreck of Science." Fun character ideas: Hat Kid, Mustsche girl, the Mafia cooks, Queen Vanessa. The hub has a pile of pillows below a diving board, you can jump off and "swim" in them. The primary character artist is that Itallian fellow who promoted YL's KS with 30 days of Rare-themed drawings on Twitter!

But this is off topic, agreed. Should have much to discuss here "soon" ...

That trailer definitely has a Rare-like quirky charm and the world mock-ups look very much explorable. The pause menu theme is spot-on; you can tell the music is Rare-inspired, but it's definitely its own (zesty, zesty) thing. Going off of twitter, the game is still in development. Hopefully they can crank it out!
I bet there's a Lobodestroyo thread around here, someplace. If not, there ought to be!

And no news today! *waits patiently*

When the announcements drop, I hope this puts a more positive light to kickstarters.

In Playtonic we trust.

We'll see.
I'm still REALLY excited for YL, but not as much as I was in the beginning.
The lack of info just numbed down my excitement a little bit.
