1 day not on PC and this happens...
Atleast it's a firm with profit in mind.
The only odd thing that strikes me are the books. Why does the villain destroy these books for the Pagies?
Edit: I found something that would make perfect sense with everything.
It is related to the unfinished Novel .

An Ivory Tower is a place of "privileged seclusion," typically of the intellectual or learned.
*Note the image of a book shelf*
A Bee Hive, meanwhile, is home to many bees, whom are always busy and share a hive mentality.
*Note the honeycomb, and combined with anti-intellectual message: "work harder, not smarter"*
... seem like almost near opposite ideas.
Obviously not much do go on, but a truly strange combination. Yooka-Laylee and the Philosopher's Comb ?
Also:
- This would be very amusing, were it not a hostile takeover; my condolences to the devs at Playtonic and their families.
- Something similar happened when Mingy Jongo transformed into Playtonic
- If "he" cannot be a queen bee, then bear seems more likely ... but we've got so little to go on.
- Certainly interesting potential themes noted by Exaskryz. I don't expect the plot to be a ham-fisted "why we left rare to indie dev" but something to think on, for sure.
- Definitely puts the great Dean Wilson bee twitter exchange in a certain light

Yo, this isn't funny. The morning of the day that they posted about this hostile takeover, I found a bee and a small hive in my car's door after I got off work. The takeover is real.

You know, Hivory Towers could very well be an industrial level in Yooka-Laylee. The equivalent of Rusty Bucket Bay in Banjo-Kazooie, and Grunty Industries in Banjo-Tooie. A mechanized beehive littered with all kinds of machinery, pipes leaking toxic waste, poor working conditions for the workers as they listen each day to the loudspeakers spouting propaganda. And worse of all, NO DAYS OFF! Wait, did I just described Konami/EA? Hahaha.

Interesting point. Still, the Marios wonderful world has always more abstract than Banjos.
The minions we've seen could end up secluded to the Jungle's book-world.
