The potential for a connection to The Ivory Towers novel is interesting! What if all the games storybook worlds are loosely based on actual literature?
*That said* I'm on the skeptical side, presently. Ivory tower is moderately commonly used: though it often refers to scholars, it can denote any priveleged seclusion from the lives of "everyday people."
In terms of American politics, a liberal may use it to refer to Wall Street; a conservative to university professors. (Examples are speaking broadly!)
Hivory Towers' twitter shows a bookshelf in the background. This makes me wonder if ivory tower simply means a place filled with books. (Any library can be an ivory tower, of sorts.) The CEO may be using the book worlds for profit ... perhaps "vertical markets" catering to each world? (Maybe a stretch...)
Edit: to affirm -- I like the book theory, but until we know more it's going a bit 'out on a limb,' I think.
