Capital B. kind of reminds me of Kingpin or Lex Luthor. I love that we're getting a more down to earth "businessman" type villain instead of something more fantasy-oriented. The whole corporate thing is a nice contrast with Yooka-Laylee's otherwise very fantastical world.

It looks like his body could be a robotic body-suit, much like what Grunty got in Nuts N Bolts. This would explain the lack of wings, stinger, and additional limbs. I can easily picture what he would really look like without the suit just by remembering past bee designs in Rare games.

I like him the more I see him... however...

Grunty is better because she's a witch. A businessman doesn't excite me. BUT, I think it could work very well if Yooka-Laylee had a marvel universe of villains. I.e. don't reuse Capital B as the villain in every single Yooka-Laylee game like Grunty/Bowser is in Banjo/Mario.

I think it will work best if we get a new villain in the sequel, perhaps Honey B being the mew villain's 'sidekick'.

Sequel idea:

Leave loads of small portraits and carvings of the mountainside around the game to foreshadow the next game's Demon Warlock antagonist, who will be even more imposing than Capital B.

I really love his design. The first thing that came to my mind was Despicable Me, too. Gru is probably my favorite character from that movie so I don't mind the resemblance. I kind of see a resemblance in Grunty's nose and teeth with this guy as well. I also believe he might be in a robot suit and he's actually the size of one of the bees from Banjo.

Having him in a suit can be refreshing. Just like with Laylee it might take time for others to get used to.

Would have been happy either way. Now to SEE the characteristics.

So I Tweeted at Steve Mayles about Capital B's resemblance to Gru, and he replied to me with this:

https://twitter.com/WinkySteve/status/7 ... 3290705920

"I tried to avoid it. And the Penguin!"

So it wasn't intentional, and actually tried to avoid it a bit. Doesn't really bother me, I like the design!

Helen Sutherland made this (Chris' Wife)
Guess I can tell where she drew inspiration from ^^

The mask... Didn't think about it that way yet!

^^^ Funny one of the works of Sutherlands wife should end up on this forum. It showed up on my Twitter feed, too. I really like it but didn't notice the resemblance!!

Also: Good to hear Steve Mayles' input on this. Didn't think he could resemble The Penguin, too ...there are a lot of similar villain trophs, I suppose. Really want to see this character as animated, in game!

Got to thinking what Capital B would look like out of his suit.

I hope the game features some cool cinematics that really highlight how evil and corrupt he is. E.g. stepping on a small cute bug on purpose... stealing candy from a baby... things like that.

His design is really starting to grow on me, but I need to see him animated and in character to get a real feel for him.
