Gawd!

Some updates today, just didn't know where to start posting!

Captital B; My first though is that he looks like a corporate Capital push-over XD
A bussiness Bee, bad teeth flappy belly and small posture and he manages to do whaaaat?!

Then again, I usually learn to love characters when the story develops further. Wonder how this will turn out. Perhaps he's not the steering wheel...

What do you guys think about Capital B?

Can't see his face on the side of a mountain exactly, but I like his design and what he symbolizes. The honeycome cane is perfect. If he were tweaked juuust a bit to look less like Dru though, I wouldn't mind

He looks like an experiment between Gru (from Despicable Me [2]) and a Minion (same movie franchise, and Minions) gone wrong, despite the fact that Capital B is a bee.

It IS GRU from despicable me. Not impressed.

He doesn't look proper evil (Grunty) he looks more comedy evil (Eggman/Gru)

Can somebody update me on why people are calling him a Bee? Looks like a human to me...

Maybe his role in Yooka-Laylee plays out the same way it did for Chairman Drek in the newest Ratchet & Clank game for the PS4. He's even a fat short corporate bigwig with an evil scientist at his side to boot.

The bee designs in Banjo games and now Y-L are always hysterical. It's like they've heard about the abstract concept of a bee but haven't actually seen one before, every time.

I feel like he could maybe use some wings, maybe a stinger? But he's definitely a bee.

It's a shame he isn't the monstrous beast I hoped for back in the Hivory Towers thread. Instead, he looks like a complete pushover. Still, there's a slight possibility that there are two main villains. If only that face carved in the mountain in this is from a far more imposing villain, (perhaps a warlock/wizard?) who resides there plotting an evil scheme what Capital B and his cronies could never achieve.

A cliche fairy tale setting would also have been nice for Yooka-Laylee. Though, that is only what adult people can understand who like to mix up the entertainment they watch/read/play once in a while. Fiction that's more grounded in reality like: Game of Thrones, the first four Silent Hill games, Stephen King's novels like The Shining, and especially American McGee's Alice - which covers the topic of the human psyche after experiencing a traumatic event, are in my opinion the cream of the crop. But some people are small-minded who scoff at the mere idea of watching things like Spongebob (Hempants). Anyway, variety is the spice of life as the saying goes.

With the nod to despicable me we now know why and how Keith and the other MINIONS are tied to Capital B even Capital B sounds like Despicable Me hahaha

Rare used to put references of contemporary movies on its games so I guess this fits too.

Remember conker dodging bullets as in the matrix? Yeah this is the same thing.

Edit:

Could be remembering it wrong, but I'm fairly certain they debunked that cave-face as an actual character/villain in the recent discussion with DK Vine. Something about one of their artists just doing it on the spot.

The mountain will be in Yooka-Laylee, but if the actual character who that face is from appears is anyone's guess.

Just showed my other half the picture and asked what does that look like to you?
She replied "that guy off Minions"
I said so a human?
She replied "yeah"
I said its supposed to be a Bee...
She replied "Really?"

I think he needs reworking if it IS supposed to be a Bee. Unless he's supposed to be a human posing as a Bee. In that case he looks fine.

I LOVE his design, even though it took me a moment to realize he was a bee...

Which makes me wonder, does he have bee wings underneath his coat/cape thing?

Also, I have to wonder, being corrupt executive, are all of his minions essentially "punch-clock villains"? Basically working a 9-5 job that just so happens to be evil? That'd be funny.
