Just seen a closer look at the Toy Box on IGN Live (link above). You can probably rewind it to watch again.

Looks fun!

I hope no one calls me out for blasphemy when I say this, but Yooka Laylee is looking to be better than Banjo Kazooie.

The timestamp to rewind to is around 54:40 - I'm watching it and then I'll come back to mention if I see anything new.

edit: jokes BY Grant about how Yooka is just a Banjo reskin lmao

They actually show off the Toybox, spring jump mechanic if we hadn't seen that yet! 100 quills in the toybox haha. There's also a tune nobody has heard yet in the toybox and a new NPC hidden.

Taylor absolutely on top of the typos XD

I know it's just a demo build, but it looks like the game is going to be really fun. I know they did a lot of work making the mechanics themselves fun and from the looks of it they really hit that.

Makes me wish I would have actually backed the Kickstarter... I'd love to get my hands on that Toy Box and hear Grant's new tune and meet the new NPC. I wonder who it could be. I know they still have a lot of polishing to do, but the game looks like it controls smoothly and just looks plain fun.

Aside from all that, I love the banter between Grant and Steve.

Yooka Laylee will be showcased on Gamespot at 3:40 PDT, which is just under an hour and a half from now.

It looks like this will be our last look at Yooka Laylee for E3.

Well, nothing new from Yooka-Laylee. Not even some Toybox footage as we got at IGN, but I'm fine with that. So excluding the Toybox next month, that's it for the big blowout, huh? I'm perfectly fine with that! I think the game will feel very fresh and unspoiled with the info we got so far. Although I was expecting some off-screen footage from several channels, it's okay the way it is.

Love the banter between Grant and Steve haha.

Playtonic really feels like a 'proper' company now. It truly is like Rare's goldenage all over again. Hand on heart my favourite company.

Here's to many successful years for Playtonic.

Well, it was a bit disappointing they didn't show or say anything new in the interview, but it is nice seeing how much fun the team is having making the game. You know they love working together when every time they address each other they make a facetious or sarcastic statement.

Playtonic sure knows how to cultivate excitement. They feed you just enough to where you never get full, but never starve to death either. Thankfully we have the Toybox to look forward to next month!

One thing that surprised me is how Steves been saying in the interviews how the core content is generally finished and team is really in the polish and iteration phase. It sounds like they really were on track for October, before they delayed!
