Part of team "I don't really care" but I have to give some backstory on team "I do not want Shovelware Knight" because I understand the frustration.
Saying that people on the Internet say stupid things and that is amazes you isn't really an argument here. It doesn't add anything to the discussion at hand. If you would think a bit further it is just because we are so dedicated to the game we were promised that some people get mad at the idea the tuna-can knight is in.
Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie are part of an universe, you could say in the same way Call of Duty is a franchise with a setting. Throw in the guy from Assassins Creed as cameo and all of a sudden the universe does not make sense anymore.
Not only that but it probably feels like an intrusion in your world, a stranger that doesn't belong there.
You could say: "who cares?" And "just ignore the character" which would be a valid argument.
But this forum contains the most dedicated BK-BT fans that are just craving for a pure experience they are promised like they had so many years ago. Story, character types, gameplay and all!
It's like a Harry Potter book / pokemon crossover. It destroys the merit of the story.
I completely understand the feeling. I even think PT needs to keep close tabs on these guys as they are the ones that know what made the first games so succesful.
