No plans for NX

Playtonic has confirmed in an interview that they currently have no plans for an NX version of Yooka-Laylee.

Yeah, they stated that a few times already in the past. But always reasuring to see it confirmed. As no one really knows what the NX is officially anyway. Probably the reveal will be after the release at this pace :p

But I understand no party can really say anything for the NX if they don't even know anything about it, save for those in caboots with the big N

I mean, that makes sense. The NX is going to be pretty screwy in general. Nobody actually knows anything official, it's coming at a weird time, and it renders the already dead-ish WiiU completely pointless. Super weird. I more or less stopped looking at WiiU titles since the NX was slipped, and I know I'm not alone.

Oh well.

At least I can play the PC version once it comes out. Until Playtonic decides to make an NX version in the future.

That's fine. Better to focus on the consoles they promised than to suddenly split the work time to release it on a new console that barely anyone knows about. Besides, they didn't say they would NEVER release the game on the NX, just that it's not in their plans at the moment.

Not sure it's even doable for them since the current multiplat release already demands lots of effort.

It would be nice, since launch titles enjoy increased exposure and buyers are more open to different types of games!
