I don't think the Kickstarter pledges will be in direct proportion to the creative ability or good judgement of the people behind them, and I'm not a fan of seeing people have more influence than others because of the amount of money they have to spend, so I'm kind of opposed to that as well. But I think I might be drifting off into a different discussion entirely right now, so I'll leave it at that.

If they get fans to do voices, they'll morph and garble it to cupcake anyway. So long as its to a professional level i'm not arsed who does the grunts, but i seriously don't want any actual voice acting. Main reason im opposed to fan voices though (and come on, you all are) is because i'd want to do it

For the record, I agree that everyone should get the exact same game and experience regardless of their bank balance. But Kickstarter is all about enticing people with rewards to donate as much as they can. If you don't donate a lot, you can't meet the rewards. That's just how Kickstarter works.

I think it's more like BOTH for voice acting and Gibberish. they can just switch mode for both of them if people want voice acting or gibberish in the option mode.

Gibberish FTW. Maybe a feature or something for full sentences an on/off switch for people or something just as a secret feature just to add 10 hours of replay value of beating the game again? That wouldn't be a bad idea.

I personally prefer the voice mumble, but it would be interesting if they had both ways as an option. Maybe full voice acting could work as a stretch goal?

I wouldn't mind having both options available and be able to toggle between them in the game's options, but I would definitely prefer professional voice actors in a proper recording studio to any kind of fan voice acting (unless the fan voices end up being used for the gibberish voices and are processed to sort out any potential quality issues from less-than-adequate recording setups...)

In the past mumbling was okay because of hardware limitations, and hiring professional actors was out of the question. But now it's 2015. Full voice acting is a no-brainer. There is no reason to use mumbling other than nostalgia, and not everyone is nostalgic for Rare games.

There's nothing more charming than Banjo's mumble words sped up when you hold A. They need to keep the gibberish, and they definitely need to keep the character heads mouthing the words with a speed up function.

Gibberish, keeps the budget a bit lower plus has that nostalgic charm to it

I would rather voices be gibberish than have fully voiced characters with amateurish sounding voice actors.

I get that VAing could be a great tier thing for backers, but even THEN I would rather a high paying backer make gibbery sounds with maybe a catchphrase or two.
