will backers get the game slightly early?

I keep hearing that people's games have shipped, but on my backerkit page, it says that it's still ready to ship. Any ideas when that will change? If it's gonna take more than a few days, then I wish I could downgrade back to a digital copy, just so I could play the game sooner...

That's unfortunate. Maybe your game will be a part of the third shipment? I assume that's how it's being done.
Just be patient. And make sure you ignore all the YouTube videoes. You'll be better off with your physical copy once you get it. I certainly wouldn't want to downgrade to a digital copy.

I'm doing my best to avoid spoilers, but knowing that the game is out and I can't play it simply because it hasn't been shipped yet, is just painful...

I'm in the same boat as you guys, mine still says "ready to ship". Considering I live in Australia I don't suppose I will be getting my copy for another couple of weeks at the earliest. It's incredibly disappointing to have backed the game almost two years ago and feel like an afterthought now the game is available to the general public. What's more disappointing is the complete lack of communication as to what is going on. I tried sending an email but had no response. Almost get the feeling they don't really care now they have my money. There's really no excuse, games should have been shipped prior to launch not after.

Well, my status just changed to "Shipped", so that's encouraging. I may just take your advice and email playtonic to see if I can get a shipping number. Thanks for the info.
