Most possible collectables without expanding?

Hey everyone!

I've been curious about something, and I'm basing my first playthrough on it. How many collectibles can be obtained without expanding any worlds? I'm kinda busy so I've not finished this yet, but I was wondering if anyone else had looked into this. So far, the totals in each world don't seem consistent, which seems weird, and I'm not convinced it's just because I'm bad  . I had a quick google and can't seem to find any numbers on this.

Would be interesting to have an official list so people could attempt this and know what to aim for.

I decided to give this a go :) I was curious as well.

So on tribalstack tropics I got the following pre expansion and only using the first worlds moves

11 paiges
121 quills
Rextros Play Coin
The Mollycool
4 Ghost Writers

And

I think there are at least 3 quills and 2 paiges, still to get but you need later moves to get them.

EDIT 1:

Glitterglaze Glaicer totals

10 paiges
147 quills
The power extender
Mollycool

Though there are a couple more to get with later moves.

I'm pretty sure I got like 12 pagies in Tribalstack Tropics before having to expand. You can also get four of the ghost writers, and 121 quills (possibly more if you have moves from later worlds).

I know almost for sure that you can only get 4 pagies in the unexpanded World 5, which is kind of strange, but interesting.

Not sure about the rest. I'm not sure about the rest. I'm doing a second playthrough right now so I'll test this out.

Can confirm that world 5 has only four available pagies. You can also get the normal ghost, the eater ghost, and the invisible ghost there before expanding. I'm currently unsure if the green one is there before expanding.

Just completed unexpanded Glitterglaze Glacier on my second playthrough. I'll start my own list here with what I find. I'm basing this off of how many collectibles you can find in an unexpanded world with only the moves you've learned in that world and previous worlds.

WORLD 1
-11 Pagies
-121 Quills
-Play Coin
-Mollycool
-4 Ghost Writers

WORLD 2
-10 Pagies
-147 Quills
-Mollycool
-Power Extender
-4 Ghost Writers

WORLD 3
*unknown*

WORLD 4
*unknown*

WORLD 5
-4 Pagies
*unknown*

Totals for world 3

15 paiges
118 quills
Rextros play coin
Mollycool
3 ghost writers

If Spydr Webz wants to check as well :) make sure I didn't miss anything.

World 4 totals coming soon. I also wonder how much backtracking with all moves will put on the total without expanding.

I've played through the whole game without expanding any worlds. I have 49 spare pagies, and 155 spare quills!
Here are the stats:

Totals:

Hivory Towers:

Tribalstack Tropics:

Glitterglaze Glacier:

Moodymaze Marsh:

Capital Cashino:

Galleon Galaxy:

It isn't possible to defeat Capital B and win the game without expanding, since I still need 51 pagies!
Hope I didn't miss anything!

Nice to see some discussion here! Unfortunately, I decided it was best to expand, get everything, then check the pre-expansion totals on a new file after I knew how to get everything. However, I have the GOG version and new files are glitched until Playtonic decides to release the patch, so I have no idea when I'll be able to get my own figures for this. I would guess that there's already pretty good answers here though.
