An article on discusses what characters could potentially be the protagonists of one of Playtonic's next games. Read the article here: ... otagonist/

Personally, two of the characters they listed I had the same exact thoughts on, specifically , but what do you think? Leave a comment there, these guys do good work and are criminally under-recognized for it.

I honestly don't believe any of the supporting cast are strong enough to host their own games.

You could say the same thing about Banjo or Conker in Diddy Kong Racing. They were as boring as the rest till they got their own games. Just becuz they don't do much in one game, doesn't mean they can't be good in their own game.

I Want to see a Minecart 2d Sidescrolling Platformer game starring Kartos
as well as:
A Bottles' Revenge-Esque Game starring Trowzer, But with Trowzer as an Angel instead of a D3M0N,where he can take control of Enemies and use them as puppets to progress through the game
A Game Featuring the Knights of Hamelot
A Rextro game which is EXACTLY as Suggested by Hopix, a User on this forum: instead of some simple, repetitive game that is pseudo-retro, how about this: In each world, there is a retro games console, and to play, rextro could require a cartridge found in the world. There could either be a single cartridge with a single level, or multiple with different levels on. On each cartridge, there is a 2D 8 bit representation of the 3D world you're in. The point in playing the 2D game is not only to obtain a pagie, but to make physical changes to the 3D world by interacting with puzzles in the 2D level. There could even be a backtracking element, so if you're unsure how to progress in the 3D world, it could be that you need to enter the 2D version to solve a puzzle, to affect the 3D version.
I, For One, Welcome the highly anticipated return of the 3d Collect-athon Platformer Genre of Video Games and will continue to support Playtonic no matter what

Return to “Yooka-Laylee”
