64-bit Tonic?

Postby Capital B » Fri Jun 09, 2017 7:56 pm

So, once the Green and Purple patch is released, will we finally get the 64-bit Tonic next? I've always wanted to play the game with the classic graphical style from the Nintendo 64 games, especially now that I've completed the game 100%. :D
Honestly, what's up with the bat's nose? I can recommend a good surgeon.

Unfortunately, I think that is going to be added later. I think they are viewing this as more of a "fixing the game" type of update :(

Hopefully I'm wrong though!

I'm pretty interested in this tonic myself. I can't even fathom how it's going to work!

I hope we get it soon. I'm sure Playtonic will find a way to make it work after they fix the game up first. I'm glad they're actually gonna fix Rextro's arcade games. Hurdle Hijinx was a pain to beat his high score on because of a glitch where you get pushed back by some invisible force sometimes when changing lanes. It can screw you out of beating the high score big time if it happens near the end when trying to get all the silver quills.

Hurdle Hijinx is filled with glitches (at least on PC version)! If you try to change lanes too fast, it will keep resetting the lane-change timer so you can't make a change at all (in that direction). If you fall behind the camera's main following point, you somehow always get overtaken and die unless you get back up. I utterly hate Hurdle Hijinx. I'm right there with you: super glad to hear they are fixing Rextro's minigames. Probably the number one thing that made me scream with joy when reading the update.

As for the other goodies in addition to 64-bit Tonic, does anyone know how they are going to work? Is the orchestral soundtrack going to replace what we have now automatically? How is the commentary stuff going to work out?
