Yooka-Laylee on Switch through Limited Run Gammes

Yeah, these physical Switch copies will certainly not spread as well when they're not getting produced for normal retailers as well. GameStop, Amazon, you name it.

It can only be connected to some complications since Switch game cards are a different and more rarely produced medium (compared to Sony's & Microsofts Blu Ray discs, that is). I hope Playtonic will be able or willing to produce real game cards for the Switch for their future games, if they're serious about their target group.

I hope that they finally deliver. This is slightly off-topic now, but compared to my initial hype, they didn't really fulfil my expectations. I love them as developers for their previous work, but they need to get to a higher polish level. Maybe get an alliance with a bigger studio, I don't now. Just combine their style with great game design again.

The release date has changed to Friday the 7th of September.

I had a feeling it would be delayed, because we hadn't got any email from Limited Run Games yet announcing the game was going on sale in 12 hours.

I also hope the delay is due to my theory (wishful thinking?) that the DLC will be included on the Switch cart.

The delay has to do with the details of the Collector's Edition, and apparently we'll have more details on Tuesday.

•It will cost $74.99 US dollars.
•Contains a standard Switch version of the game, a character poster, a CD soundtrack, and a non-functioning N64 cartridge collectible in a N64 styled box with manual (so it's similar to the "64-Bit Edition" tier reward from the Kickstarter campaign).
•Limited to 3000 copies.
•Backers of the Kickstarter campaign will receive a 10% off discount code towards the standard edition of the game that will work on the release day of Friday the 7th September only.
•Backers of the "64-Bit Edition" tier of the Kickstarter campaign will be granted guaranteed early access to the collector's edition (as Limited Run Games collector editions are well known for selling out in seconds) as well as a substantial discount on the collector's edition (it doesn't say how much).

But limited to 3000 copies and early access for 64-bit backers...? Oh well, this makes me nervous! I really really want that edition but at this rate I'm wondering if waiting for the countdown to end and clicking the "buy" button asap is even enough to get one. I'm not even at home on Friday, so I'll have slower internet.

If there's a 64-bit backer here that is not interested in purchasing the CE, I'd be very happy for your early acess link/code/however they are going to handle that.

No, the normal price for the non-collectors edition without backer discount is $49.99. The Collectors edition (which they now seem to be calling the Classic Edition) is priced at $74.99. I'm not seeing anything set at $249.99, but there is a $219.99 September 7th Mega-Bundle, if that's what you're referring to?

Speaking of backer discount, has anyone gotten theirs yet? I assume it's some kind of coupon code? Is it supposed to be sent as an email or appear in backertkit or something?
