Yooka-Laylee Guest-Starring in "Brawlout" (New Fighting Game)

This video was released 5 days ago, but I've only just seen it. I'm surprised I haven't heard anything from Playtonic about this.

Brawlout is probably not a game that would have caught my interest if it hadn't featured Yooka-Laylee, but now I'm quite interested. It excites me to see them in a new game -- I'm hyped for Playtonic's next game for sure.

Interesting how it looks like they got ripped directly out of the original game and put into Brawlout. Heck, in the first seconds I thought they just put an animation .GIF of some Kickstarter update into the trailer.

It's nice that they get featured, but being a big Smash fan, I know where I'll put my money. Brawlout just isn't nearly as refined when I tried it over at a friends Switch.

Its lookin good. I might just get it for Yooka and Laylee. Even if its not as good as Smash, it still looks like a nice game. I just wish it had a single player campaign

I'm looking forward to this! I've been anticipating Yooka & Layle making guest appearences in other games, and I also love platform fighting as a genre, the more the merrier.
I actually posted here once that I hope Playtonic makes a platform fighter one day, though if that were to happen they should stray from Smash Bros as much as possible. I love Smash but not every platform fighter needs to be about throwing enemies from the stage while raising their damage meter, the genre has more potential than that.
Still, this game looks fun. Hopefully other versions get Yooka-Laylee in updates or dlc.
