Developer Commentary videos! (UPDATED!)

Good morning, Playtonic forums, I hope you've had an ace weekend.

Anyway, let's get down to business. 8-)

We're now starting work on our Developer Commentary videos. We'll be kicking off the journey in Tribalstack Tropics, the very first world you encounter.

We'd love to answer some community questions relating to this world, so if you have anything you'd like to ask, drop your question in this thread.

I can't guarantee answers to every question, as we are asking across all our social media pages too, but we will do our best to feed you as much delicious information as possible!

What was the reason to not include a game over cutscene where you're getting trapped within the book world you are currently in, or a different cutscene for the hub world if you select 'quit game' in the pause menu like in Donkey Kong 64?

How far into this levels development and the games development in general was Shovel Knight added into this level? Did the mission you do for Shovel Knight in this level already exist in some form before he was added in, or was it all added in after he was?

Were there any scrapped ideas for this world that you really liked, but ultimately couldn't include for whatever reason?

I saw on Beta64's video on Yooka-Laylee that Tribalstack Tropics had a version of the stage that took place at night, but was scrapped. Do you plan on adding a day/night cycle in future games?

Glitterglaze Glacier question:

Why didn't any character or area in this world have any reference to a christmas theme?


And I think time could have olayed a major rol on thia one but. Why are there not ao much NPC'S in this world? It would have been nice to see out of place characters dealing with the cold like the Aliens in Banjo-Tooie.

Saw the call go out for Moodymaze Marsh questions on Twitter, but I don't have an account so I'll ask it here: The jack-o-lanterns littered around Moodymaze's Grand Tome and the start of the level hint that the aesthetic will be a blend of Bubblegloop Swamp and Mad Monster Mansion, but the other 98% of the level is pure swamp. Were there plans for more spooky/Halloween-y content that got cut for deadline/budget reasons, or were the jack-o-lanterns just a red herring?

Most important question of them all: how did the cuss words get filtered in the credits? I searched for an hour and I couldn't even find Dutch words for genitals.
