I really loved the Cutscenes of Donkey Kong 64, because they were funny and always showed the danger (and incompetency) of the enemy.

Cutscenes will add more personality to the characters, because extra attention can be given to the animations.

If there's a story there, I'd prefer there to be cutscenes there. I actually rather like cutscenes, especially if they're a joy to watch. And since Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie had cutscenes, I would like this game to have them, too! ...And a cutscene player, just like in Tooie.

For me cutscenes could be compared to spices for a food. You want to add enough to complement the taste but not so much that the original taste becomes overpowered. I would want the cutscenes to stay similar to how they were in Banjo Kazooie; an intro, an end and a few short scenes sprinkled in between.

Incidentally, I count the intros to boss fights, and even defeating the boss after a boss fight a cutscene from Banjo-Tooie.

Now that we're in a new generation of consoles, the cutscenes should represent this too. I want to see them more dynamic with action. Sort of like comparing the conversations from Grand Theft Auto 3 to Grand Theft Auto 5. Less of standing around to talk and more movement please.
