Why not photoshop a single head of a flower with its petals like an incomplete lei (colors from photos not necessary favorable). Obviously the goal would be to place it on in a way that doesn't effeminate the characters persona(just so it's not going against the devs gender choices)

judging from one of there recent interviews they said yooka can use his tongue to eat badguys & gain there ability! (kinda like a yoshi/kirby hybrid?) maybe yookas in the nude because he will change colors or even gain the clothing of a bad guy he ate in order to show what powers he is currently using?

so if yooka was in smash does that mean his B move would be a yoshi/kirby like attack? & what would he look like absorbing the other smashers? Hmmmm the possibility?
