NINTENDOS E3

Postby Scrubber » Tue Jun 16, 2015 6:59 pm

That was the worst thing I've ever seen. I can't put into words how bad it was. Not a single game announced took my attention. They wasted too much time talking about Yoshis Yarn and Mario maker which is pointless cause they're out soon and they wasted half their time with pointless interviews. I think they have pretty much abandoned the WIIU and have moved all focus over to the NX.
Yoshis Epic Yarn MIGHT be the last decent WIIU game. They might even save the new Zelda game for the NX.

Yeah, I only think Paper Jam looks okay. Kind of a weird crossover concept of you ask me. I like them individually. But together? Meh.

It seems like they're quickly thrown stuff together just so they had something to show. I mean the star fox game looks like it belongs on the n64 with those graphics and WTF was that pointless animal crossing board game? Mario party has that genre covered there is NO need for it at all. And the metroid fans seem pissed too at that handheld spinoff game.

Last year's E3 was won by Nintendo by a long shot, what on earth happened this year, Jesus.

I agree it was dissappointing, but I think you are overreacting a little.

I didn't think the Digital Event was horrible... Disappointing yes, but not horrible. Too few things caught my attention...
Starfox, Yoshi's Woolly World, the two Zelda titles and Mario&Luigi Paper Jam seems pretty interesting but for the rest... It was "meh" to me.
The Animal Crossing stuff was really underwhelming, I don't like Fire Emblem and the Metroid stuff... Those are Spinoffs, not even real Metroid games...

I guess is safe to say that Sony won this year's E3.

I mean at least they FINALLY gave the fans what they wanted:

1. Final Fantasy 7 Remake
2. Shenmue III (albeit through Kickstarter)
3. A clear release date of The Last Guardian (2016)

M$ came in second place, and Nintendo lost, miserably.

By the way, Retro Studio and Next Level Games said they were going to show some stuff at E3? Were their games shown? Was it that Metroid Federation thing and Mario Tennis?

I don't think anyone won but Nintendo definitely lost.

Rare Replay and Mirrors edge were the best things shown for me. Were we not supposed to see homefront 2?
That yarn game from EA looked great I'll be checking that out. Can't believe I've just said I like something from EA, I need to wash my mouth out.
