Well, they don't call it a spiritual successor of Banjo-Kazooie for nothing!

Me too. This is the perfect combination of knowing nods to the past and new ideas for taking the greatest collectathon of all time into the modern era. And just look how beautiful that underwater screenshot is!

Yep, by far my favorite screenshot. The lighting, bubbles and contrasting pinks--all too good. I'm now fully open to having a section that has us exploring the deep abyss of an ocean. That pink has me picturing some playful neon coloring, maybe something kinda similar to Tropical Freeze

Also, they should really consider adding underwater idle animations

^ Agreed, and it's my favorite, too.

Where would the title go, should this be the box art?

It's like a throwback to older covers. Hero in foreground, running and smiling, villains chasing after.

The aspect ratio of this image is different from N64 box art / BK's. A little extra height to the image and the above photoshop could be close -- just move the logo up.
Somehow doubt they'll split the names up, ha

I'll comment differences in the two.

In BK's the giant Grunty is reaching for the titular characters. A nice, simple effect that evokes a sense of immediacy.
YL's is more complicated -- Capital B is laughing maniacally as books are swooped up around him; and YL are instead chased by minions.
While YLs has a creative idea and says more about the plot, in BKs there's a greater sense of cohesion and that immediacy.

YLs is more spacious and had this fantastic, tasteful painterly style. (It's nice Playtonic has an artist like Dean who could work for Disney or Pixar, or work for the Vatican and paint portraits of different personages.)
BKs box art is cluttered in a charming, grizzled but kitschy sort of way ... similar to DKC 2's.
So, stylistically, they're *just different* ... and which you prefer depends on how you look at it.
